Under the project, different national and international health, nutrition, WASH, protection, GESI, and awareness days were celebrated in the project areas of Bideha Municipality and Janaknandini Rural Municipality in coordination with local governments, ward representatives, community members, volunteers, FCHVs, project staff, schools, and other stakeholders.
Key days and events celebrated included World Breastfeeding Week, Iodine Month, National Vaccination and Immunization Day, World TB Day, World AIDS/HIV Day, World Environment Day, and other relevant days based on the project calendar and local opportunities. GESI-focused dramas, street dramas, awareness rallies, discussions, orientations, and community-level campaigns were also organized to raise awareness on gender equality, social inclusion, health, child protection, hygiene, nutrition, and other important social issues.
These celebrations provided opportunities to increase community awareness, encourage positive behavioral change, promote health and hygiene practices, and strengthen community participation in project activities.
